During 3D design I learnt how to work to scale 1:25. These are images taken with a digital camera by myself of my stage set, based on the theme Dracula. The project started off confusing and frustrating but I think that this was due to how the mathematics side of this was being explained. Bearing in mind that we only had four weeks to complete this project which also consisted of a list of research, on-going diary of annotation and evaluation, I am really pleased with this finished piece. The overall model contains a lot of realistic detail, I achieved this by using a variety of materials for their texture/effects. For the archways I mixed paint with sawdust to give it a bumpy-rough texture. The bricked pillar is formed by cut up rectangular pieces of sponge and glued to cardboard to relate as ''bricks''. Other materials I have used are polystyrene, cardboard, straight cardboard, paper mache and paint. I have used paint to give it its finishing effects. The use of textures gives the final piece the atmosphere of a dark and doomed crypt as a place where Dracula would go. Once there was a basic rough model the project became more enjoyable.
